Parkland at Home

We here at Parkland Church believe that while we are encouraging people to stay home during the week, that shouldn’t stop the process of growing spiritually together. So to that end, we’ve created this page as a resource for the people in our church. We will be providing materials for kids, teenagers, and small groups of people so that we can all be learning and growing together – even when we’re apart!

For Kids and Families, we will be posting parts of our normal kids ministry lesson for you to run through at home, so that your children can still learn through our amazing curriculum. We will update this content weekly in time for Sunday morning! We’ll provide teaching parts, activities, and videos. As well, we will also recommend some good quality bible series from Rightnowmedia.

For Small Groups and Teenagers, we are making available some suggestions for bible studies available through Rightnowmedia. We will change this content every 2 weeks.

What’s God’s Plan for Us? Phil Vischer

What’s In The Bible? Volume 10: Jesus is the Good News!

In the Gospels, we get up close and personal with the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus, learning about our place in the kingdom of God along the way. Jesus is the Good News! This volume covers the 400 years between the Old Testament and the New Testament before digging in to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. We walk with Jesus and his closest friends as he delivers the Sermon on the Mount, feeds 5,000, breaks bread at the Last Supper, and gives His life for our sins before God raises Him from the dead. Jesus shows us firsthand what life in the kingdom of God is like – and invites us all to be a part of it!

  1. What was your favourite part about this video?
  2. Did you learn something new? What was it?
  3. What was your favourite song about?
  4. What’s something new you could tell me you learned today?

The Grave Robber – Mark Batterson

If you long to see God work in miraculous ways in the life of your church, you will love the faith-building, life-giving message found in The Grave Robber. Join pastor and bestselling author Mark Batterson on a seven-week journey as he reveals the incredible power of the seven miraculous signs of Jesus found in the Gospel of John and walks us through the very spots where Jesus chose to reveal himself through these miraculous events.

Miracles are happening all around us all the time, but you won’t see them if you don’t know how to look for them.

Grace is Greater – Kyle Idleman
We’ve all experienced failures, bitterness, or setbacks. We carry unseen burdens that rob us of joy, keep us from praying, and even cause us to doubt God.
Bestselling author and pastor, Kyle Idleman, and the award-winning media team at City on a Hill want to remind us that God’s grace is greater. Even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when it doesn’t feel fair. God’s grace covers everything we’ve done. And the best way (perhaps the only real way) to understand it, is to experience it.
Grace is Greater will remind you that no sin is so great, no bitterness so deep that God’s grace cannot transform your heart and rewrite your story.

  3. What could I do practically with the information that’s been presented? What should I change? What should I start? What should I stop?
  4. Who do I know that could benefit from hearing about a part of this? Why?
Finding Truth – Francis Chan
Christians today face all kinds of challenges when it comes to understanding who they are and what they’re meant to do. There’s no shortage of options that claim to offer “truth.” If we’re not careful, we can find ourselves chasing after popular opinion, celebrity opinions, or the tug of our emotions all the while neglecting the unchanging truth found in Scripture.
In this four-session series, pastor and author Francis Chan invites students into the power and confidence that comes from anchoring their identity, purpose, and relationships in the truth of Scripture. Students will walk away with practical steps toward building their lives on the firm foundation of the Bible.
