Need and Mission
Here’s a quote from our Sunday, June 7th message. Jesus called us all to go out into the world to be salt and light. To show people the way, and to be a source of good and change. But the way we do church, we ask people to come to us instead, and do things our way. Jesus went into people’s homes, walked in their streets. He ate with them and spent time with them. We are on a mission – so we need to go out too!

Blessing the Grocery Store!
We were glad to be able to organize a great blessing for the people at the grocery store! They have done such incredible work in both keeping us fed and safe (through all the measures they have put in place at the store, and through making online work!) We were glad to be able to pay it back!
Thank you so much to everybody who helped make this happen- you guys are all making a big difference in the community!
Here are some photos.
Church on the Outside – Idea #5
We’re committed to using the other 167 hours of the week we have outside of Sunday service to make a difference in our community. So here are some great ideas on how to do church on the outside, and be a better neighbour!
Idea #5 – host a street party. Everyone needs to respect social distance laws – but that doesn’t stop you from all sitting on your respective lawns and talking to each other across the driveway or the street!
Comment below if you hosted a party – we’d love to hear how it went!
Church on the Outside Idea #4 – Get Needy!
Church on the Outside means committing to being the church the other 167 hours of the week. It means being convinced that we are the church when we are outside, rather than believing that we are stuck outside a church.
We have been posting ideas all week to help you be more intentional with your conversations and relationships. Here’s Idea #4 – Get Needy!
We believe relationships work two ways. Give and take. Pouring into each other. And we can’t do that if we don’t let people in until we feel perfect! We need to let people see our needs, let people see our struggles. We need to be on the receiving end as well as the giving end. And often, we don’t receive, because we feel like we should always give.
